What changes would you like to see in your life, your community, your world? What steps can you take to work towards your vision? These are the questions we probably have asked ourselves many times. But there are women who have set remarkable examples with their work, which have got the power to inspire the world. They empower others to initiate change.
This year’s international women’s day theme #BeBoldForChange coincides with the saga of their struggle, achievements, and contributions they make to turn this world into a better place to live in. Be it in advocating gender-balanced leaderships or creating inclusive cultures, they have done it all!
With the evolution of societal norms and a change in mindset, driven by forward-thinking organizations, women today are making a global impact both as employees and entrepreneurs. When we look around, we have women leaders everywhere, from the CEO who runs a Fortune 500 company to the housewife who raises her children and manages her household. More girls and women are getting into studies and careers in entrepreneurship, science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics, boosting economic competitiveness and addressing the needs of the society.
Even in the world of data and analytics, women are defying all stereotypes and marching ahead. The work of Florence Nightingale in 1858 is still resonant with the world of data. She was indeed one of the first users of big data. As a nurse in the Crimea War, she became a pioneer of modern nursing. By recording the data of patients and the documentation of results, including the conception of the first pie chart, her work revolutionized the cleanliness of military hospitals. That was the era when massive changes were happening around women’s rights. And Florence Nightingale stood as a catalyst and inspired many women to enter the world of data and numbers.
There has been a steady rise in the number of women beginning to enter the data world. These are the women who are interested in finding how things work, extracting insights from data, problem-solving, and helping businesses make the right business decisions. These are the women who are #BoldForChange, willing to knock down doors, smash glass ceilings, take the lead, and stand out.
So, here we are celebrating our she-roes and their boldness with our Women’s Day campaign that champions women in various roles in the field of analytics. BRIDGEi2i is teaming up to #BeBoldForChange on International Women’s Day, stirring up conversations, and driving greater change for women. Through the #BeBoldForChange movement, we at BRIDGEi2i pledge to help women unleash their limitless potential and lead the change.
It’s time that we all #BeBoldForChange, not just for the sake of defying the stereotype, but for the sake of all the talent that is left untapped. The change extends from the inside, and if you think there’s more you could be contributing, then the answer is yes and the time is now!
Join us in recognizing the diverse abilities and talents that every woman possesses! Prepare to be inspired by the amazing skills of our womenfolk, as they tell you what it takes to break the glass ceiling!
